Canadian Museum of History

National Gallery of Canada

Here you can discover much about the great country of Canada. It has a great collection of art that the country has produced over the years. Canada’s National Gallery shares the stories and the art of those people and their art-making history.

Canadian War Museum

A great place to learn about the history of armed conflict. Built in 1880, the museum built a new location at LeBreton Flats site in downtown Ottawa on May 8, 2005. It has galleries, and public programs have been designed to emphasize the human experience of war. A great place to visit and learn more about the history of Canada's role in the wars of the past.

Connaught Building

The Connaught Building is a historic building on Sussex drive which is owned by public works Canada. It is located just south of the American Embassy and is considered to be one of the leading historical landmarks of Ottawa.

Rideau Canal

Considered to be one of the world’s largest skating rinks, Rideau canal is a river which freezes in winter and thus giving the people the opportunity to skate on top of the natural ice for the duration of the winter. One of the most fun and most exciting things to do in Ottawa in the winter time.

Ottawa Senators

Ottawa’s professional National Hockey League (NHL) Team. Currently playing at the Canadian Tire Centre. Have a devoted following of hockey fans who love their team and cheer them on to Stanley Cup successes.

Ottawa Citizen

Largest English-language daily newspaper with a wide circulation. The Ottawa citizen was established in 1845 by William Harris. It brings world news, political views, and sports entertainment to the citizens of the city.

Ottawa 67’s

A junior hockey team that plays in the Ontario Hockey League. Established in 1967, the team is nicknamed 67’s, in honor of Canada’s centennial year. They have a devoted following among the many hockey fans in the city.
